Andrew W. Spangler attended Texas Tech University where he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, cum laude.  He then attended S.M.U. Dedman School of Law where he received his J.D., cum laude.

After law school, Andrew Spangler began his career in Dallas, Texas working for a specialized patent litigation firm, Fish & Richardson, P.C.  Following that employment, Mr. Spangler served as a law clerk to the Honorable T. John Ward in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas.  After completing his clerkship, he worked in Longview, Texas for a Texas-based commercial litigation firm.  In 2007, Mr. Spangler began Spangler Law P.C. with a practice focused on federal court litigation with a special emphasis on patent litigation.

Mr. Spangler has extensive knowledge of the local and patent rules in the Eastern District of Texas.  In addition, Mr. Spangler is well versed in patent infringement litigation, and brings a myriad of experience in that area, including expertise in all aspects of discovery and claim construction (including arguing Markman hearings).

Mr. Spangler is admitted to practice in the Eastern, Northern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas.  In addition, Mr. Spangler is a Registered Patent Attorney and is therefore admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Mr. Spangler is a member of the Bar Association for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and is a charter member of the Honorable T. John Ward American Inn of Court.
